BTS - Valentines Day Session w Jen & Kala

My relationship with Valentines day has gone through the full arc of an aging male at this point. Being an awkward kid giving and receiving the mandatory valentines in grade school, a lovelorn teenager who thought it was the day that your crush was going to magically fall for you, to jaded(still single) young adult raging against how it's just a "commercial scam that takes advantage of unrealistic movie style expectations of love and romance. To now, being a 35 year old artist who just sees it as a fun day to wear red outfits and have fun with the tropes and to make clients feel beautiful in them.

This year had been a slow start to the photo sessions but I knew that even if January was a bit of a bust , there's a day in February that can't help but bring out the cameras. For my Valentines sessions this year I was joined by the ever lovely and reliable Jen, who was not only modeling but acting as assistant once again and I can't say enough how much I appreciate her support both physically and emotionally . We were also joined by the stunning Kala for the first time. I had been introduced to Kala through mutual acquaintances and had been wowed by her portfolio and knew I had to leave my mark on it. She was not only gorgeous in a red number fit for the season but also an absolute delight on set and another fast friend. I would also be remise if i didn't mention that the release of this shoot went hand in had with her wedding day and I'm wishing her so much happiness and love.

I'm very happy with how these images turned out, Kala had such a sultry vibe that was a joy to capture. Jen as always brought her trademark mix of elegance and sensuality in a gorgeous turquoise number that was a great contrast to Kala's all red ensemble. In short it was an amazing first session of the year and will set the tone amazingly for what's to come.
