Well here I am. After 11 years behind the camera, I am finally in business for myself. I must be honest and say it's not how I imagined I would be jumping in but as they say "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans" and it got me for sure. For the past two years I had been working a 8-4 job being a combination of technical support and marketing , which luckily included a fair amount of video production.

As stated before life has its ways and my day job had to adapt to its field and this meant it was no longer sensible to keep me on as a full time employee and instead made me an independent contractor. I agreed to this because I agreed that the nature of my position needed to change for myself as well as them but then i was hit with the shocking revelation that I was now self employed.A younger version of me may have been terrified and overwhelmed but the post 30 entrepreneurial spirited me became very excited to finally be free to pursue cinematography on my own terms.

So the past couple weeks have been a whirlwind. Not only have I been launching a new business I also have been in the middle of a move, which anyone who's done it can tell you is a bundle of stress, lack of sleep and physical exertion. With that completed i began the arduous process of registering a business, including tax setup ( I have heard more on-hold classical music this week than anyone ever should), getting this website up and running, editing new reels and of course talking to clients about their projects. So I guess you can say I hit the ground running.

Before my tendency to ramble completely takes over I will summarize by saying thank you to those who have helped me so far, to Shantel for my amazing new logo, to Rob for his support and for being my sounding board about ideas, to my folks who have let me take over their basement once again and finally to all of you who have reached out to me, said a kind word of support or even just gave me a like on socials. I am beyond ready to get to work and make amazing stories and moving pictures and truly live the life of creativity and adventure I know I am meant for.
